Aliases

I was first introduced to Dragon Realm around '98 and played pretty consistently until about 2000.
I met my wife Tristine for the first time in Dragon Realm. It was opening night for Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace and we were both sitting in the Lanark Lounge, bummed that we couldn't go to the midnight showing.
Newbie Admin
[edit | edit source]In 2011 I approached Forbeo about taking over Dragon Realm; an idea he warmed up to fairly quickly. The mudlib at that time was quite old and to get it up and running on newer operating systems and mud drivers would be a bit of a chore.
I let Forbeo do most of the hard work, like getting the driver to compile and hooking in the master objects. Once we had a workable framework I started working diligently to fix anything and everything that was broken.
A New Beginning
[edit | edit source]In about May '11 or so we asked Shathis to help beta-test, and together he and I fixed a lot of stuff that was broken, focusing primarily on the Wizards guild. Then in June '11 when we were in a far more stable state we opened the mud back up to alumni players, which was a largely successful re-opening of the MUD.
